Michal Maťaš
Michal has specific skills in two separate fields. Since 1992, he has been working in the field of procurement (public business tenders) and public procurement, both on the side of public contracting authorities and contracting authorities (utilities), as well as on the side of applicants. He has repeatedly participated in the creation of legislation, including abroad (Albania – EBRD project) in position team leader and education on a wide scale. He repeatedly obtained the license of a professionally qualified person for procurement granted by the Slovak Office for Public Procurement. Since 1975, he worked for many years in chemical engineering, especially in research and construction of chemical reactors already as a student. This field is close to FRB stacks.
In 1977 he graduated in chemical engineering at the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, where as a university teacher he also completed a scientific postgraduate course in chemical engineering (equivalent of PhD). In 2012 he completed in Paneurope university postgraduate studies in financial management He started his professional career at refinery SLOVNAFT, where he established and managed a chemical reactor laboratory for testing heterogeneous catalysts. He is the author of two dozen scientific articles, patents, and a number of professional articles in the field of international business.
Since 2008, he has been engaged in public and private procurement and from 2007 to 2023 as a public procurement specialist at the Slovak Railway Company, a.s. the national carrier. Within INO-HUB Energy he is a public procurement specialist. Thus, his work is mainly dedicated to procurement. However, due to his previous experience, he is also involved in R&D activities.
