Some time ago, we initiated an important partnership with leading Slovak universities – the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice and the Technical University of Košice. We anticipated significant potential for achieving highly interesting results in our battery research.
Currently, our experts are collaborating with these universities to conduct tests on a revolutionary redox flow battery – the first of its kind in Slovakia. Our goal is to develop a full-scale model of it in the near future, utilizing various advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
The primary advantages of these batteries lie in their potential for simple recycling. Simultaneously, the electrolyte can be reused in other batteries or in the expansion of existing ones. Moreover, they hold immense promise for the future of long-term electricity storage, owing to their extended lifespan, virtually unlimited cycling, discharge without degradation, the option of reusing the electrolyte, and the ability to increase the battery´s capacity.
We firmly believe that our innovative redox flow battery, developed in partnership, will revolutionize the battery industry and provide a significant boost and opportunity for our region. Simultaneously, we are cultivating highly valuable expertise in an area that is currently in high demand within our country.
