Second and final HIGREEW Workshop took place on 16th and 17th May 2023 at CIC Energigune research centre.
HIGREEW project in one of the Horizon2020 European projects that have been trying to develop an efficient energy storage system. One of the most promising candidates to fulfil this task are Redox Flow Batteries. HIGREEW project has been developing an efficient aqueous organic redox flow battery thus the poor-available vanadium electrolyte can be substituted by organic molecules.
On the Workshop, different topics were aborded:
- Industry needs and trends on RFB.
- How Redox Flow Batteries could contribute to the delocalization of the economy.
- Latest research about new organic and inorganic electrolytes, membranes and electrodes
- New battery regulation and how its affects on RFB.
INO-HUB Energy R&D team attended the conference and enjoyed such a well-organized congress discussing about new tendencies in Redox Flow Batteries as well as visiting Vitoria old town and tasting the marvellous gastronomy.
